Are you suffering from MAD (Mail Attachment Disorder)? Chances are that you do. That’s why we created our MAD series: 10 symptoms of Mail Attachment Disorder are uncovered over the course of 5 weeks. Today, we continue the series with Symptom #8 – Uncontrollable urge to send large document sets by text or WhatsApp messages

As utilitarian workflows outside of company walls develop, they will often be directed towards mobile devices and prefer to use instant messaging channels like SMS and WhatsApp for their superior notification effect over email. The drawback of course is that – aside from a few overcompressed pictures – these channels can hardly carry rich content sets.

That kind of capability would add substantial value in quite a number of use cases. Think of sending tickets or receipts for public transportation, QR codes for access purposes, appointment reminders with an embedded iCal entry for your calendar, but also – in the other direction – collecting a brief qualification video from a job applicant, or requesting a picture of a signed document.

Imagine this: with ZAZA.rocks you can do all of the above right here, right now – it’s fast, simple and free.

Here’s how it works for a couple examples – you’ll get the gist:

1. Share a set of documents for reading:
Go to ZAZA.rocks, create a digital paper bag and add the documents. Make sure you keep the URL (or Register bag under menu)!. In the menu on the left, « Share bag », check the “Download files” permission switch and press the “Copy link” button. Paste the link into your text or Whatsapp message and send. Done! (Advanced tip: if you want to add or modify documents to the bag, you can do so at all times afterwards – the bag is always up to date) Example bag: https://zaza.rocks/75a6d02d094eb045ab5ad309c9336770

2. Public transportation:
https://zaza.rocks/77726955bd7babef1a24622145805c9a if you are the bus or the train company, this should be of special interest, but there are many similar use cases of course. Tip: if you only put one file in the bag, the download page will open the document immediately, without showing the bag. Makes things simpler in general.

3. Get a video interview:
Go to ZAZA.rocks and create a digital paper bag. Make sure you keep the URL (or Register bag under menu)! In the menu on the left,
« Share bag », check only the “Upload files” permission switch and press the “Copy link” button. Paste the link into your text or Whatsapp message and send. Done! This is what your correspondent will see: https://zaza.rocks/0ffa7989c8b312b9b95c2803b29e7b8c. The only thing they will need to do is open the link (on their smartphone), click upload and select “make video” or similar (depending on the kind of phone).

4. If you want, you can send above link to many correspondents – they will not see each other’s contributions – and all uploaded results will end up in your same bag for easy viewing.

We do have a request for you as well. We know MAD is spreading. Should you have encountered any additional symptoms of MAD that haven’t been covered, then please, by all means, create a document (.docx, PDF, .txt) and add it to the following MAD bag. I personally promise to write an extensive answer and update the bag accordingly so it becomes a living collection of pragmatic MAD solutions.
